About Mike...

Simplifying Las Vegas grew out of a number of eventful trips to Las Vegas and reflects 20 years worth of experience in making the most of my visits with limited funds. Over the years I've supplemented my first-hand knowledge with extensive research in books, periodicals, websites, and personal interviews.
I received my Master of Arts degree in English at Virginia Tech in 1997, focusing on writing and composition. I've written in a variety of formats, including technical writing, feature writing, marketing, and creative nonfiction, and my work has appeared in Virginia Tech and College of Charleston publications, trade journals, and various private sector internal communications departments.

I continue to visit Las Vegas as often as I can!
